What is 3D Scanning  & How does it work?

3D scanning captures the physical dimensions of an object using laser, structured light, or other technologies to create a digital 3D model. The scanner records the shape and surface details by measuring distances to the object, generating a point cloud that is then processed into a 3D representation. This model can be used for design, analysis, or reproduction.

Still have Q's?

What types of 3D scanning services do you offer?

We provide 3D scanning and engineering services, equipment rentals.

How can 3D scanning benefit my business?

3D scanning offers precise measurements for prototyping, reverse engineering, or quality control, catering to various industry needs.

How long does it take to complete a 3D scan

The time required for a 3d scan is depenent on the application. Some parts can be scanned in an hour others can take over a day.

What are the advantages of 3D scanning over traditional measurement methods

Our equipment offers superior accuracy, speed, and detail compared to traditional methods by quickly capturing complex geometries and providing precise, complete data without physical contact, making it ideal for a wide range of applications.

What formats do you deliver the 3D scan in

Our system outputs the scan in an STL file format. We can convert it into whatever file is needed.

How do you ensure the confidentiality and security of the data collected

All of our scans are saved in our database. We will not share or sell your scan. The files are the customers property.

Do you offer on-site 3D scanning or is everything done at your facility?

Our equipment is portable. We can come to you, you can come to us or you can ship us the part.

How much does 3D scanning cost

The cost of the scanning is dependent on the size of the scan, the resolution and the output file format requested.

Can you scan objects of all sizes

We can scan items as small as a couple milimeters or as large as a large truck or trailer.

Do you offer consultation to determine if 3D scanning is the right solution for my project

Yes, we are happy to schedule a meeting or a phone call to review your application. If we are not a good fit for you we will guide you in the right direction.

What happens if the scan results are not what I expected.

We will work closley with our customers to make sure what they are recieving is fit for their application
